What a lonely place to be and how much pain to have lashed out in such a violent manner, crying out to be acknowledged somehow - is there any other way to interpret mailing out those materials to a major news organization. There is no justification for such actions, for such a display of random violence but, with all scrutiny we are giving to this event, I question what is going on in our society that we can create these kinds of monsters. Monsters who feel so alienated, detached and ostracized - so disconnected from the world around them. Spree killers and serial murderers, is it America’s equivalent of a suicide bomber, I wonder?
